PRAYAS FOUNDATION FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Education for All

Education & Skill Development

Prayas Foundation is committed to strengthening access to inclusive, equitable, and quality education for children and youth belonging to marginalized, tribal, and economically disadvantaged communities. The program aims to bridge learning gaps, reduce school dropouts, and enhance future opportunities through a combination of academic support, digital inclusion, and skill-oriented interventions. Special emphasis is placed on first-generation learners and children at risk of discontinuing education.

Key Activities

Learning Support Centers

The Foundation operates community-based learning support centers in rural and tribal areas to provide remedial education and academic assistance. These centers focus on foundational literacy and numeracy, homework support, exam preparation, and confidence building. Child-friendly teaching methods and locally relevant learning materials are used to improve comprehension and learning outcomes.

Digital Literacy Programs

To address the digital divide, Prayas Foundation conducts digital literacy initiatives for students and youth, introducing them to basic computer skills, online learning tools, and safe internet practices. The program enhances students’ ability to access digital education platforms, government portals, and skill-based learning resources, preparing them for a technology-driven future.

Scholarships and Mentoring

The Foundation supports meritorious and economically vulnerable students through scholarships to reduce financial barriers to education. Alongside financial assistance, structured mentoring programs are implemented, connecting students with educators and professionals who provide academic guidance, career counseling, and motivational support.

Teacher Training Workshops

Recognizing the role of educators in learning outcomes, Prayas Foundation organizes capacity-building workshops for teachers and community educators. These workshops focus on child-centered pedagogy, inclusive education practices, classroom management, and use of digital teaching tools, thereby strengthening the overall quality of education delivery.
